# SMAppService

> Apple's API for registering login items, agents and daemons that the user approves in System Settings.

> SMAppService is Apple's ServiceManagement API, available since macOS 13, for registering helpers. A daemon registered this way runs only after the user approves it in System Settings › General › Login Items & Extensions, and can be removed the same way.
